Public Art Workshop records, 1968-1995 (bulk 1970-1982).

Correspondence, research files, financial records, grant proposals, newsletters, press releases, pamphlets, newspaper clippings, and other records of the Public Art Workshop, a non-profit community art center and mural workshop founded by muralist Mark Rogovin in Chicago (Ill.). Much of the collection consists of research materials collected in conjunction with PAW's mural resource center and the National Mural Slide Collection, a joint project of PAW and the Art Institute of Chicago. Includes working files related to Mural Manual, a community mural art instruction book published by Beacon Press (1975). Also present are sound recordings on topics of interest to PAW.
